Introduction
Welcome to the SPARKL® Sequencing Engine user guide!
This user guide describes the features and functionality of SPARKL, the user interface, helps you get started and also provides tutorials, examples and an API reference.
The SPARKL® Sequencing Engine is a piece of code that can be installed inside a computer or other hardware device.
It can run in your laptop, or be installed inside devices such as a Cisco®
router or Intel® IoT gateway. It lets you design and execute distributed
business processes such as:
- Distributed banking ledger transactions
- Orchestrating technical infrastructures such as networks and servers
- Making machines on a factory floor work together
Feature | What it means | Benefits |
---|---|---|
Distributed Intelligence | SPARKL's local, hierarchical intelligence means devices and
systems work together in a local hierarchy - as well as across the cloud. With SPARKL, there's much less risky data transfer from your business to remote datacenters. |
|
Reasoned Provisioning | SPARKL configuration unifies application logic with datacenter
resource provisioning. That means compute, storage and network resources are now
provisioned:

Complete Audit Trail | SPARKL logs every datacenter event as well as the logical flow of
events that form a given business process. Now you can prove the right data crossed the right paths to get to the right place. |
